Binghamton, etc.
I got myself a library card so I'm back on the information superhighway. Binghamton is a depressed place, but I like it. Well, I like being walking-distance to downtown, and I like the old feel of the city. There's a Boscov's department store a block from city hall! Otherwise, this place really makes Auburn look up-and-coming. Lots of abandoned storefronts and lots of diners equal to the Hunter Dinerant. And I love the Hunter Dinerant. No Wegmans, though. I've yet to get my hands on a Danny's Favorite.
This library is really nice. Not as great as Ithaca's, but close.
Today is Stephanie's first day teaching. I was a little envious of her as she prepared last week, working on her syllabus and planning out the semester. I was envious enough, in fact, to get really motivated to go to UBalt for my MFA. So I'm finishing up my application now.
This weekend we went to Long Island because Steph's step-grandma is ailing. Everyone went to visit her, but I stayed back at her dad's and step-mom's place. I really liked hanging out with her family. They're nice, easy-going people. Her dad gave me an electric guitar and amp he doesn't use anymore. It's a pretty nice rig.
On our way home we dallied in Manhattan for a while. I'm not sure Manhattan was such a great idea. Why put a huge city on a small island?
Day 23: I'm still into poetry. Not great at yet, but learning.
Way to go, Aaron. I guess being really smart pays off, huh?

congratulations on your library card. i am really into appreciating accesable librarys lately, i learned recently that, because of zoning and taxes, my mom and the kids cannot get a library card. shocking i know, what would laura bush say? anyway, i know where you can get a danny's sub- bring stephani to ithaca and it will be for dinner.....
