Thanks for the tip!

Dad, We're redoing our downstairs bathroom and living room. Yesterday Alex, Ella and I tore down wall paper and today I began prepping the walls for painting. The bathroom walls were in pretty bad shape, and the corners needed re-taping . I still have to sand and put another layer of joint compound on, but it's going pretty well so far. Mainly that's because I remember what you told me a while back - to put down one side at a time. That really helps . . . so thanks for the advice. I'll post some pictures when it's all done.

Still Safe!

Dad drove so well through all the twists and turns of the mountain terraine of The Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Parks. PtL! What adventure! We have a great truck with a wonderful transmission that handles the challenges mightily! We are now in Montana in a Walmart parking lot. There are about 25 RVs of all shapes and sizes overnighting. It's the most ever! It is gorgeous, with the parking lot surrounded by the Rocky Mts. I'm on cell phone line so must hurry!!! (before I am bumped!) Much love, Mom

Adam's Work Trivia

One interesting thing is that, because I work closely with another person named Adam, everyone at work calls me A-Rob now. So now it's not only whenever I hear someone say "Adam" or "add them" or (less rarely) "atom" that I turn to look, but also whenever someone says "Hey Rob."

I'm Smiling... ; )

Look! Up in the Sky! Is it a bird? Is it a plane? YES! IT'S A PLANE! (See ya!)

Other Fire

Image
This fire was much worse than the one near our house, and was the second one of the night on May 12, in the Patterson Park neighborhood. I got wet standing there, even from a block away. There were hundreds of spectators amid the fire fairies.

Fire

I've been seeing and hearing about a lot of fires in Baltimore recently. This one hit close to home, and woke us at 5:30am, when the screaming engines arrived. All the firemen and women were very nice, once the fire was out. Just don't try to talk to them before then.
