Memory... who needs it

...so since neither of us can remember whose turn it is to deal when we play Gin Rummy ( which is nearly every night) we decided we should use a pencil or something as a pointer. But then how would we remember whether or not we actually moved the pointer? Oh well, why should I care since Anitarae has nearly tripled my cumulative score. Nothing seems more hopeless, except the fact that no one will read this anyway.

Pictures From Oregon

I don't know how to get the photo description to match the correct photo, so you do the work, ok? Picture one is Crater Lake. Crater Lake was once a Volcano which erupted and then sank deeply into the earth. The crater then filled with some of the purest and bluest water on earth. It is the 7th deepest lake in the world, the 3rd in our hemisphere and the deepest in the USA. And WE got to enjoy it! It was a thrilling site to see on a warm an sunny day! PTL! I wrote to Paula Durgala today and decided I would cut and past a bit of my letter to her as an update to youse-guys. Double the good, half the work! So! This Oregan project has been a joy for the most part. We are working at a very delightful Christian school and I am assisting a master teacher. 2nd grade. We are working with one other couple and that is a test because she is a Joan Hawkens in the chatty cathy arena but I have asked God for strength and he has blessed me. He gave me the idea to knit on a project I began long ago while she gabbed and that has helped significantly. I am not filled with love 'feelings, but I think I am being obedient and kind. I think God is pleased with my desire to respect her. I really do not like projects with only 2 couples because if you don't click ... well... there is no escape and three weeks can be a long time. One more week to go! But ...

Go Brewers!

Yes, the NL Central pennant race has got me all tied up in knots. Brewers and Cubs are currently vying for first, with the Cards one game back. It's exciting!
