I wasn’t looking forward to getting the RV out of the area it was parked in at Floyd’s gated community, yesterday. I knew I was going to have to back it out for quite a distance and that’s still hard for me. However, with Floyd’s direction I managed to do it after a few corrections. Traveling to Vero Beach was an easy trip down I-95 for only an hour; then I got to try backing again … into my slot. Moving day is always stressful for me, but it’s always worth it.

We pulled into the center of the SOWERS parking area where we were surrounded by RVs and then quickly by many, friendly SOWERS. It was a warm and encouraging reception. There are 24 of us on this project. That’s a big team and probably a challenge for the group leaders. However, they are really experienced. But Bob, the GL, is a trustee in the SOWER organization. He not only has this month’s responsibility, but he’s also leading the SOWER reunion in February. I’m sure we will learn a lot from him and Val, his wife. We are the GL in February in Tampa and there will be 20 of us so we’ll be watching closely.

We spent most of today in Jupiter visiting the Yeckels. They treated us to a delicious dinner and a walk on the beach. What a nice way to spend a day … in January. Pinch me.

What does GL stand for?

Sorry, GL stands for group leader. We kinda wish we weren't going to be leaders in Tampa because we have so many friends we want to visit in our free time and the GL has less free time.

I guess I knew that. I just wasn't sure what the "G" was for. Do you get paid extra for that?

yup. Twice the normal salary and hopefully twice the benefits
