Home Again... This Time in Washington

Well, your dad and I made it safely over the Rocky Mountains and that’s not a little thing! We have experienced the grandeur of our country and the beauty and majesty really blew us away!

We drove through the Grand Tetons and did a few days in Yellowstone. Since Colorado Springs, we have driven 1,800 miles. We were tired by the time we got here. It was hard driving for Dad and I am a stress magnet, so we worked it together… We are so thankful for our good truck and for God’s protection.

Friday, Uncle Tom and Aunt Jeri met us with open arms and a wonderful steak dinner. Then, today after church, we went to Dan and Delaine’s home for dinner. Matt and Jen were there with their two kids. Also, Jason and Kirston. They are a big, fun beautiful family and it was delightful to see them all laughing and interacting together! We missed Andrew and were glad we had connected to them in Dallas!

Oh how I wish I could fly you all out for a weekend reunion while we are here! You would love your cousins as adults, I know! Their kids are really fun, too!

I have taken pictures, but with this new camera, I don’t know how to post. I have to study on it… I wish I had someone to just walk me through it…

Also, we had an unusual experience in church today. They passed the offering plate at the end of the service and asked everyone to take $10.00 and bless someone with it… and show Christ’s kindness in some way. Sort of like, “Pay It Forward.” (Anyone need a blessing?) It seems like a symbolic thing that motivates one to do more that the ten... Kinda cool...

We are parked in a beautiful cul de sac here in the Retirement Manor. We are surrounded by beauty once again! Lush and green this time... We are working with only one other couple and they seem so nice. They have family and friends in the area also, so we will each go our own way for our social life much of the time. That's a lucky break.

Well, that is about it for tonight. Lots going on here... How about you?
