Happy Birthday & Happy Anniversary!

So, here is a pic of Priscilla's new babay girl, Willow Lunah. She was born April 6- yes- another April birthday!! She's 9lbs. 1oz. and beautiful, she looks just like her mama. They are both healthy and incrdibly happy :0)
I've also got some pics up of my first attempt at a fondant cake. That's the fondant, in a big ball before I rolled it out. It was very strange, but fun. I liked it, but Alan requested "not a fondant cake" for his birthday. Today he's getting a cake version of an andees candy. a two layer chocolate cake with minty frosting.... yum. More importantly to him, I'm attempting to make him a steak for dinner.... Happy Birthday Alan! This years best present is going to be that he is here to celebrate it. He and the kids are super bummed about missing out on the trip to Maryland, so we will have to plan a rematch as soon as we possibly can....
In the meantime we hope everyone is doing well, and we hope you have a wonderfull Happy Anniversary Al and Anitarae!!
One last thing before I sign off, Jack is done with another soccer session. His coach took some pics- you can click here to see him in action!

hey there!! thanks for the cake compliments! here is the recipie. it did come out pretty yummy, very sweet. happy to say it was a hit at the party. definatly worth the work. i really like the buttercream recipie from the same site...

Did you know: That water boils at 198 degrees up here? Thus, food takes longer to cook cuz the water isn't hot enuf. Breads rise very quickly, but they aren't truly 'proofed' so must rise a 3rd time... Cakes rise so fast in the oven, (because of lack of air pressure above them,)that they will pour over the top of the tin before they can bake enuf to support themselves! Liquid evaporates so fast that two extra tablespoons must be added per cup to produce a product that is not dried out. Hmmmmmmmm... My culinary reputation is at stake!
