Sloppy Joes

I had a nice surprise. Somehow, some old recipes made it into the RV and this was one of them. Since it was a very yucky looking card, it must have been a family favorite at one time or another. So,in case you get a hankerin' for something easy and flavorful, here 'tis!

Sloppy Joes

1 lb. hamburger
1 small minced onion
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 Tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. worcestershire sauce
3/4 cup catsup
1 !/2 cups water
Hamburger Buns

Cook meat until meat loses its red color and drain fat.
Add onions and cook till onions are soft.
Blend in flour.
Add H2O, wor. sauce, and catsup. Stir and Simmer 15-20 min. Serve over buns!

So, there it is for your use if you wish!

Love,
Mom

Thanks! I do remember eating your sloppy joes (and hoping Joe F wouldn't stop by). Maybe I'll give this a whirl. I'm impressed that you keep wor. sauce on hand in your house -- doesn't seem like it'd get used enough.
