Update from Mom

Hi, everyone...

Isn't she adorable? Here is Ella Grace reading the Robinson 5 Blog!

I wrote to Paula Durgala today and decided I would cut and past a bit of my letter to her as an update to youse-guys. Double the good, half the work!

So! This Oregan project has been a joy for the most part. We are working at a very delightful Christian school and I am assisting a master teacher. 2nd grade. We are working with one other couple and that is a test because she is a Joan Hawkens in the chatty cathy arena but I have asked God for strength and he has blessed me. He gave me the idea to knit on a project I began long ago while she gabbed and that has helped significantly. I am not filled with love 'feelings, but I think I am being obedient and kind. I think God is pleased with my desire to respect her. I really do not like projects with only 2 couples because if you don't click ... well... there is no escape and three weeks can be a long time. One more week to go!

But then I remember... everything in life is not about me. It's about the Kingdom work being accomplished and with two men, a lot more is accomplished than with one. Al and Dean have done so much to improve this wonderful facility! Dean is a great guy.

Next month is also just two couples. It seems like volunteerism is down and this is probably due to gas prices! Whew! Last week I asked Dad to take me somewhere nice and expensive... and he took me to gas up the truck!

Today we are 'vacationing' and going on a jet boat ride 35 miles up the Rogue River. We stop at an inn and have dinner and then come back. Everyone says it's a hoot!

The weather here is awesome! Bright sunny skies and warm to hot. NO humidity so the hot is lovely! (Except when Al paints in the afternoon sun... Pity him...)
What a tough guy!

We are brought produce from the staff's gardens and so are loaded with all we can eat tomatoes! Lushious... even if I do have to take all the seeds out first. What a pain! How do your gardens grow?

The town here has bears all over the city streets done by artists. My favorite is the bear who stole all the blueberry pies and ate them. He is sitting in one half eaten pie plate. Another is dumped over his head. He is eating another pie and berries are in and out of his mouth and running down his hands... etc. They are adorable!

Local color, everywhere we go!

I think I am really well. Did I tell you that I was on some Nutritional Supplements and some of them were supposed to be for mental health... and they may or may not have been the cause, but I went into a real depression tail spin in August. I called the Nutritionist and he took me off them, and I began to recover almost immediately. Still, it may have been just the time to rebound. Such a mystery the chemestry of the brain

We are camped in a grove of pine trees, and it is the prettiest spot for our RV. We are happy here and would consider this town as a retirement possibility if it were on the east coast...
The east coast is where my kids are. And grands. The east coast it is where we retire!

Well, that's about the long and the short of it for today.
How bout some updates from you?

We love you! And that's an understatement!

Ta for now,
Mom
