Christmas In Merry Mississippi
Hey, Y'all! Can you imagine the weirdness of being in an RV at Christmas? I keep wondering how 10 Alden Avenue is decorated this year! (Alan, some night when you work late, will you go by after dark and take a picture for me? It'd mean a great deal and you could post it on the blog. I'm sure we'd all like to see the difference...)
I went on the internet and we have been doing some Christmas at church events and community events also. The most unusual for us northerners was the Boat Parade. I thought I would post some here.
Today is cold. Our pipes froze last night. Luckily, it was the outdoor hose and that's easily fixable. It will be cold again tonight and then the winter is over according to 'Weather.com."
It's Friday and your dad is pretty tired! I know he would burn out if we stayed here much longer. Today I will clean the kitchen thourghly because the church needs to use their kitchen Sunday for the the church dinner. We have been blessed by this congregation as they have welcomed us into their 'family.' What a blessing it has been to love and be loved and to bond. I have really enjoyed being a part of the Tuesday morning ladies Bible study. They did an video, "Beth More" study on "The Partiarchs." It was a wonderful OT study. Also, The NDR ladies signed up to go to the Ladies Night Out Christmas Dinner Party and they invited us to go as their guests and gave us gifts of appreciation. It was a financial blessing but the gift of love was the real deal! (And, "Oh man! The seafood was awsome!)
Today I will also decorate the dining room. I have the tree almost prepped and ready to assemble. Again, after I shared my desire to make the dining room Christmas-y for the volunteers, the Bible Study gals brought their extra decorations for us to use. Such wondrous love! When people go out of their way like this, you really want to "pay it forward!"
So-o-o, anyhow, I'll see if I can post the pictures, and then go get to work!
I love you all so-o-o-oooooooooo much!
Ta-ta for now!

I will swing by the old house and take a picture.
This year I decorated the back yard as well as the evergreens in front. This way we can enjoy the lights too.
When you check the blog can you please leave a comment.
I think it will help me post more. And you won't have to ask for updates.
